At The Grange, promoting cultural understanding and values beyond academics is part of our core education. The school celebrates our community’s diversity with various events throughout the year that showcases various cultural traditions, letting students to explore different customs and highlighting the importance of respecting each other’s backgrounds.

One of the most cherished traditions at The Grange was the making of mooncakes, an integral part of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. Students from all cultural backgrounds came together to learn about the story behind this festival, fostering appreciation for this enduring practice. The process of making mooncakes went beyond just creating a treat; it was an opportunity to grasp the profound themes of family, togetherness, and thankfulness, which resonate across different cultures.

Students also participated in a lantern-making contest that showcased their creativity and commitment to sustainability by using recycled materials. This aligned with our Cre8tors competencies, particularly in Environmental Respect and Active Citizenship, fostering resourcefulness and environmental awareness.

Students designed and put their lanterns together using recycled materials.

The lanterns, shining symbols of creativity and culture, stood for much more than just artistic expression. They served as a reminder of the beautiful coexistence of diverse traditions, achievable through respect, open-mindedness, and a commitment to caring for our environment.

At The Grange, cultural festivities goes beyond just a celebration; it’s a meaningful effort to create a caring and inclusive community where each person’s story is cherished and proudly shared.
