TGIP graduated its first cohort of 9 Kindergarten 2 students

The Grange International Preschool (TGIP) celebrated the graduation of 9 of our students this December. This occasion marks the graduation of our inaugural cohort of Kindergarten 2 students. Steering away from the exhaustively choreographed graduation concerts, TGIP instead focused on celebrating students’ learning.

Parents were invited to attended a student-led-showcase prior to the graduation ceremony. Students showed their parents around different spaces set up with their works throughout the year. From coding of tech toys, to poems, to science experiments, students from Nursery and Kindergarten took the lead in reiterating what they have learnt. This way of sharing allows them to reflect and take ownership of their learning.

The activities proceeded to the multi-purpose hall, where our preschoolers put up a series of performances that included dance, movement, music and poetry. However, the highlight was undoubtedly when the Kindergarten 2 students donned their graduation gowns, and received their certificates from our Founding Director, Mr. Ronald Stones OBE. This marks the end of their time in preschool, as they embark on their next learning journey in life.

The students concluded with a song representing the everlasting friendships formed during their time at TGIP, which bought tears to audiences’ eyes. The homely setting to our first ever graduating cohort is ever so befitting to the closely-knit classroom family that The Grange has set out to create.

Of the 9 graduating students, The Grange is looking forward to welcome back 7 of them who are progressing into our primary section next year.
