The Grange International Preschool (TGIP) has received the Gold Award for Sustainable School of the Year at the annual HoneyKids Asia’s Singapore Education Awards 2025. This remarkable achievement marks our fifth consecutive win in environmental and sustainability in education

Our journey towards sustainability goes beyond what we teach – it reflects how we embody our values in everyday teaching. This commitment was recently highlighted on a global platform. In March 2025, TGI was invited by UNESCO as one of only two international schools worldwide to launch the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development 2025 at their Paris headquarters. This incredible opportunity placed our school alongside global leaders in sustainability, further spotlighting our dedication to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education.

Our Green Granger Initiative has progressively transformed our campus into a thriving biodiversity hub with over 100 species of documented fauna and wildlife. Students are actively involved in composting, urban farming, data collection and experiments across five distinct zones.

Beyond our campus, the Grow With The Grange campaign has led to the planting of more than 150 trees in Sumatra and Zambia. Each tree is named after a student and tagged with a QR code that provides its exact location and detailed information. This initiative has to-date helped offset 3.5 tons of CO₂, reduced soil erosion along coastal communities, and fostered community engagement, all while aligning with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Back in June, our young learners took the lead by participating in the Go Green SG movement, contributing to the SG60 collaborative mural made from recycled toys. This stunning artwork which is now listed in the Singapore Book of Records has taught them about environmental responsibility and the power of working together.

We are immensely proud of our students and the community we’ve built together. This Gold Award celebrates a simple but powerful concept at TGIP that sustainability is not just a concept, but a way of life.
